Account book, 1837-1838.

Documents the activities of William Wilson in 1837 and 1838. The majority of the entries concern painting objects (boxes, wagons, chests, signs, etc.), setting panes of glass, hanging paper, varnishing paintings, and lettering signs. Costs for such items as oil, paints of all types, and varnish are listed for many of the accounts. Wilson also notes charges for days of labor. He was usually paid in cash.
